| Purpose: | Determination of metal corrosion rate by mass loss method and measurement of the produced volume of hydrogen |
| Kratki opis metode: | The volumetric apparatus determines the corrosion rate of the metal sample in the test medium by mass loss method. The measurement is performed so that the cleaned samples are weighed before and after corrosion and according to data of surface samples and the duration of the experiment corrosion rate of metal samples can be calculated. In addition to the corrosion rate data from standard laboratory conditions, the volume of hydrogen produced by corrosion can be calculated. By this method the influence of impurities in an alloy on the corrosion rate in the test medium can be determined. |
