Manufacturer and type: | Jenoptik, VarioCAM® M82910 |
Purpose: | The infrared camera serves as an infra-red radiation detector. By measuring the amount of radiation of a body it is possible to determine its temperature. Infrared cameras have found their purpose in various branches of science, from research in medicine, up to the observation of metallurgical processes during metal production and processing. |
Kratki opis metode: | Thermography as a method is based on detecting and measuring electromagnetic waves in the infrared spectrum of light. Since all the bodies above the absolute zero transmit wholl or a part of their heat energy in the infrared spectrum, using infrared detectors it is possible to measure their temperature. In metallurgy she has found his application in various segments of science, from measuring the temperature of the device, examining the dimensionality of the lining of various aggregates, up to the investigation of the deformation zone. |
Tehničke značajke: | The basic features of the device are: infrared camera with uncooled microbolometer, robust housing, ability to capture individual thermal images and / or videos up to 50 fps. Measuring range from -40 up to 2000 °C. In the lower temperature range the sensitivity is up to 80 mK, spectrum range is 8 - 13 µm, and resolution of 320x240 pixels. |
Tip i priprava uzorka: | No samples required. Before the test it is necessary to determine the emissivity of the observed body and the ambient conditions (temperature and relative humidity). In special cases, it is possible to prepare the tested surface by using high coatings with a high emissivity factor. |
Laboratory: | Laboratory for machining of deformation metal |
