At the same time, it works to raise general social awareness about the place and role of one’s own profession, ie about current problems and achievements in the field of one’s own scientific, teaching and professional activities that have broader social implications.
VISION
The institution will continue to encourage innovation, uniqueness and excellence of each individual according to world standards of evaluation, and operates in the environment in accordance with all positive regulations, the needs of local and wider community. The teaching process will be based on the world’s best experiences of the connection between learning, research and the economy. Accordingly, the Faculty of Metallurgy will continuously renovate and innovate existing study programs for quality and effective education at all levels of university study with the introduction of specialist professional part-time study in the field of metallurgy (foundry)…
Graduates of the Faculty will be sought as widely educated professionals competent to effectively solve problems in their field. The Faculty will continue the institutional care for the development of scientific research and professional work on domestic and international projects for the development of innovative and improvement of existing technological processes, products and materials. The Faculty will be publicly recognized as a responsible institution that contributes to society by raising the level of education, expertise of engineers in the technical field, development of industries related to metallurgy, materials and environmental protection, and work in accordance with academic ethical standards.
Following the mission and vision, the idea of establishing the Center for Foundry – SIMET grew out of a series of scientific research, professional and populist activities. It is important chronologically highlight the historical development of the idea, including the initiatives of recognized experts in the field of foundry and experts with experience in project application.
